Happy fall all! If you have been here for a while you know that I am lover of all things food and entertaining! So obviously Thanksgiving is one of my very favorite holidays. I love to plan the menu, decorate the house and cook for our family. However, that is not all… this is one way that we give back to our family and friends. It isn’t an event about gifts, it is just about being THANKFUL for the ones around us.
Plus it is the kick off to all things CHRISTMAS! Bring on the Hallmark Channel!
When I go into William Sonoma at fall time, I am like a kid in a candy shop! The smell of cider and pumpkin bread is to die for, it will lure you in even when you don’t need anything at all!
The good thing is, this time of year at least, I do need stuff for Thanksgiving! Here are my go to picks to help prepare for your gourmet Thanksgiving feast.
We plan to have 30 people at our house this year, so I will tell you how many I purchased of each item so you can plan accordingly.
Cornbread Stuffing- $14.95 This stuffing mix is AMAZING. We have done other ones from the grocery store and they do not compare!! I will be posting my Mom’s Stuffing Recipe using this box and other fresh ingredients closer to the holiday. I purchased three of these boxes.
Gravy Base- $12.95 This base is a great starter for your gravy. Definitely use the pan drippings when making this and you will love the way it turns out. We got two jars of this one.
Dry Herbed Turkey Rub- $12.95 We always make two birds, so I picked up two of these little jars. We used it last year and the skin had a delicious herb flavor. Don’t worry we also add in some butter under the skin to make sure it is juicy/flavorful!
Now switching to the sweet items that I LOVE at William Sonoma.
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread- $14.95 I love to have this on hand during the fall (of course we already used up all the bags I had) so I had to pick up two more bags to make for Thanksgiving morning. It is a great little treat while you are cooking and the kids are relaxing watching the Thanksgiving day parade! I also love the Nordic Ware Fall Cakelet Pan to make this little mix in, they durn out picture perfect!
And last but not least… Pecan Pie in a Jar– $20.95
This is absolutely the BEST pecan pie I have ever had. It is worth its weight in gold! I love picking up a jar to make for our dessert buffet. Another item that I love from WS is their pie pans. I bought the Emile Henry Ruffled Pie Dish- $38.99 They make beautiful pies and I was in need of another one, so I picked it up!
William Sonoma offers 15% off if you sign up for emails AND they are currently offering free shipping!
Happy Shopping, Happy Cooking!
